As indicated, this K&K blend from Germany consists of numerous different tobaccos and that is evident when the fancy flip top tin with foil liner is opened. The colors range from light brown thru red to jet black and the cuts also vary and include broken flake, ribbon and coarse cut. Overall, the components compliment each other nicely although the Perique did not dominate during any portion of the smoke. The tin aroma is inviting but indicative of a casing. This was evident in the room aroma but was not as strong in the taste. However, little condensation and no goop develops to spoil the latter parts of the bowl. Packing, lighting and burning rate were fine although I initially had many relights due to my packing techniques. The smoke was quite dense and I enjoyed the flavor although I still would prefer a more natural one for a regular smoke. I still favor VA or VA/Perique flakes due to their slower burn rate. This is one of the better aromatics I've tried and will be used during hot weather.
