This is not your typical Hermit blend, but that is ok. Normally I would say Hermit makes powerful assertive blends that are for the smokers enjoyment only (typically the room note for non smokers is pretty bad with their blends). This blend has a really nice and sweet smell, perfect for holidays where you have to be around people who do not smoke. The VA tobacco is mostly red in variety and has a very nice sweetness to it. The Cavendish is sweet and has some honey in it. There is also some spice that I can not identify that comes and goes in this blend. I have a Hermit tobacco in my everyday rotation, and this one is as different as a tobacco blend can be from the rest of their selection. I think it needs to dry out a bit, and a light pack is absolutely necessary. I will never smoke this one everyday, but did enjoy the tin while it lasted!
