Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) Balkan Sasieni Light
(3.00)
A unique and subtle mixture designed to appeal equally to the English and aromatic smokers. This blend features a toasted burley plug cut tobacco as a base for extra cool and even smoking. The mixture is rounded out with premium Virginia leaf and fire cured black tobacco. Very lightly top flavored with vanilla designed to give the light vanilla top dressing "lift". The unique texture and subtle tastes of this blend make this New Balkan Sasieni Light Blend, a favorite of the more discriminating smoker.

I absolutely loved this blend. It is certainly not a Balkan in any way, shape or form. But, it is a delightfully tasty blend with lots of tobacco flavor and an added something that produced a rich aroma and mild sweetness (hints of Vanilla and Chocolate perhaps). The Burley is the headliner with the Virginia and Cavendish base playing in the background.
This tobacco is exceptionally easy to keep lit and burned mostly dry all the way down to the bottom of the bowl.

9th/10/2009. Lucky me! I was gifted with a pouch of B/S/Light,just a few day's a go.I immediately thought I would not like this light blend,or,even enjoy it after smoking the original heavier & stronger blend. "But,I was wrong!!!" I found this lighter little brother just perfect for a nice subdued change, while still offering a superb taste, softer,& far more gentle on the tongue, plus the throat as well. I really do wish I had found this delightfully smoother offering many year's ago now. It's just,so,easy going, smoke's great without having to keep relighting it right through to the bottom of the bowl,& without a lot of fuss.I found it to be goo free,& left with a nice lighter colored ash at bowl's end. I even experimented by adding this to a few over the top blend's."It certainly calmed them down" 😉 So,now I have ordered five more pouches. "Enjoy"

I received a pouch of this blend as a free sample and I must say I am quite glad it did not cost me anything. It is said to have a light vanilla flavoring but in the pouch it has more of a licorice smell. After smelling this tobacco you feel that you are in for quite a treat but I must admit it was anything but. The flavor is rather boring and somewhat bitter in my opinion. I really have nothing else to say about this blend other than the fact that the word "balkan" should not grace it's packaging.
