Cornell & Diehl Smooth English
(2.00)
As the name implies, Cornell & Diehl's Smooth English, a blend of burleys, unsweetened black cavendish, and latakia, is an impeccable choice for a morning smoke or for those who are beginning to experiment with English blends.

Cornell & Diehl - Smooth English.
The appearance of my blend differs to the one pictured here. Not majorly, the amounts of Burley, Latakia and black Cavendish are the same, but the cut of the black Cavendish is much coarser. The aroma from the pouch is one of a sweeter English and the moisture's good.
If I'm honest the smoke isn't as 'smooth' as the name implies. The Burley and Latakia obviate and diminish the smoothness, somewhat. I get a leading flavour from the smoky Latakia, which is supported by the rugged tasting Burley. The black Cavendish, rather ruling the smoke with a mellifluous, vanilla-cream character, adds an underlying calmness. This does soften and tone down the Latakia and Burley a jot, but it doesn't quite succeed in banishing the Latakia! Smooth English burns nicely, cool and bite-free.
Nicotine: just below medium. Room-note: not the best.
Smooth English? Hmmmm, an ok smoke, but also a boring one. Somewhat recommended:
