I am writing this review while smoking Motzek's Burley's Crumble. This is delightful burley blend, quite refined, sweet to some extent, and with a very good medium-full body. Although I am a C&D fan all the way, like the colleague Deniz above, I admit this blend being more refined than C&D's Haunted Bookshop and others alike. There are no rough edges here! This is quite special, and I intend to make it part of my rotation.

I'm writing this based on a sample I got for free, so take it for what it is. To my palate, this is very natural-tasting, mild, earthy blend with woodsy undertones. It reminds me of a mild cigar. Packing, lighting, burning is very easy. If you like Burley/Kentucky blends and you're looking for something mild and unspoilt, that you can smoke in the morning with coffee and go ahead with your daily business, then this is for you. If you want something with more punch and oomph, I suggest you skip this one and try for example Ralph Burley's Cup, which personally I prefer. Two and a half stars.

Burley Boys listen up! This is some truly unique speciality for lovers of Burleys! I was excited to get my hands on it and afer I had a small sample of this, I instantly ordered 200g...planing to hoard tons of this! ;-D

Lovely Crumble Cake, red-brown, dark-brown, black-ish and some bright spots. The unburnt aroma puzzled me at first. There is some herbalness to it, that baffled me, but it's this very herbalness, that makes me love it so much. Delicate aroma of sweet nuts, lots of earth and some spice to it as well.

Perfect conditoned, it can be smoked right away after crumbling it, but it benefits of a short drying time (drying it out for too long will provoke some harsh notes!). I find the sweet-spot to be 30-90 minutes.

In the pipe this is heaven for Burley fanatics! The herbalness of the unburnt aroma is mildly present, among with rich woodsy and earthy notes, and a delicate nuttiness that carries some delicious sweetness to it. Decent, tanginess and spice spice and some hits of smokiness underscore the experience to make it even more exciting and satisfying. Interplay of tartness and delicate honey-sweet nuts with this very special herbal-y aroma I mentioned. Reminds me a bit of C&D's Haunted Bookshop, but more mellow in strenght!

Actually the Burley tastes a lot - if not almost the same - like the one of C&D, which is huge plus for me as a C&D Bulrey lover living in Germany (where US bends are hard to get)

Decent strenght, that won't knock you off your feet, and very, very All-day suitable Burley blend... ranks in my Top-5 Burley blends, and is taking the lead in it, as its easier available than Haunted Bookshop and a tad more delicate for me.

I wrote an in-depth review about this if anyone is interested, it's in German tho: http://tabak-pfeife.com/index.php/tabak/motzek-thomasdarasz/72-burleys-crumble-motzek-tak

**Update:** After having this blend stored for several months in a mason jar the flavor(s)/flavor profile has dramatically changed, if not to say: The flavors are lost! I've noticed the same phenomenon (that quite baffles me..) with several other Motzek/TAK blends. A pity, as I have 200-400g of several TAK-Blends jarred up.. half of which I had to dump in the trash, as they taste totally different.. some of them are fructous-ish sweet, nothing else.. some have lost their flavors and are "flat"... some turned sour... sorry, but I'll have to downrate and recommend: If you smoke this within a short period of time (1-4 months) this is just fine and a wonderful Burley Cake that lacks competition in Germany imho.... but sadly this 'flaw', the loss/dramatically change of aroma/flavors foreces me to downrate..
