This mixture consists of very mild Burley tobaccos, which get roasted after treating it with a sweet sauce. After the tobacco is stored under pressure for a long period, it gets cut in a special way to get small, quadrangular pieces. Extra mild.

The Toby comes in a faultless condition and the little cubes are about 2-3mm in size, so they are rather small cubes. A bit smaller than "Tumblin Dice" by DTM if anyone knows them. I just let some of the cubes drip into the bowl, tamp with just little pressure so I get a good draw. A wide bowl is advantageous, but not neccesary. I'm smoking it in my beloved Clay-Pipe mostly. Even tho it's a cube cut the lighting isn't that much of a problem and is done with 2-3 tries.

Then the magic happens. Contrary to expectations of a one-dimensional, sharp Burley my palate PH's No. 29 is full of flavour(s). On first light I get a deep nutty, slightly chocolaty flavour, which is consistent throughout the bowl. This tasty, creamy smoke is accompanied by a subtle, yet noticeable spice that's lurking in the back. A whiff of pepper, a scent of spices that remind me of nights in the Orient. You can clearly taste the tobacco was roasted. Fine roast aromas chime in and make this backy even more palatable. A gentle sweetness is always present and never obtrusive. The flavours are in perfect balance imho. A nice condiment, paired with nutty-sweet and chocolaty qualities make a genuine smoking experience.

The description says it's extra mild - which is very true! Don't get me wrong, I'd say it's medium(+) strenght-wise. But the smoke is just very creamy, not biting and not sharp like some Burleys tend to be. Still it has nice spice.

Definetly a top notch blend! And the pricing of 15,60€ for 100g is outstanding for the quality this tobacco has. Peter Heinrichs sells (almost) all their tobaccos in plastic bags, so they save some money on tins and tin design, which often leads to low(er) prices for high quality tobaccos.

(Tobacco-)Lord have mercy, how is it possible a tobacco simple as this one has such a fine and rather complex taste? I fell in love and will definetly get a bag of it soon.

3/4 stars to me. No flaws and well done!
