Tewksbury & Company XO
(3.00)
A superb cavendish blended from fire-cured Virginias and aged American burleys. We could not resist calling this blend XO as it has a touch of tasty cognac added to create a super smooth and mild cavendish tobacco.

The fire cured Virginias offer some dark fruit, a bit of earth and a little grass, spice and citrus. The nutty, earthy, molasses sweet and lightly woody burleys play an important support role. The cognac topping has a little richness, and does sublimate the tobaccos a bit. I can’t put my finger on what it is, but I also sense another light topping. The nic-hit is mild. Won’t bite or get hot. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a consistent flavor. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and requires a shade more than an average number of relights as the tobacco is a little damp. Has a decent after taste, and can be an all day smoke.
