Newminster's No. 3B Black Cherry is a blend of Cavendish, Burley, and Virginia topped with quite a potent, but not too sweet, black cherry note.

Newminster - No. 3B Black Cherry.

The aroma from the pouch isn't half as strong as a lot of cherry aromatic blends. The black Cavendish accounts for a lot less of the blends construction in comparison to the lighter leaves. Even though it's from a bulk pouch, it still needs drying time, not lots, but it's a touch damp.

The cherry addition seems to work strange, it's quite strong at first but soon calms down: any cherry causticity soon dissipates. The Burley gives most of the tobacco flavour, the virginia second to that, but the black Cavendish adds very little. The temperature feels cool, and it only bites me when stressed. The flavour of the smoke's quite nice, but it looses some points because of the burns speed: too quick.

The nicotine's mild to medium, and the room-note's quite pleasant.

This is an ok smoke, but to be honest it bores me too much to score any higher than two stars.

Somewhat recommended.
