G. L. Pease Night Wraith

(4.00)
While warming up during the predawn hours before the Big Sur Marathon in Phieffer State Park on the Pacific Coast Highway, south of Monterey, California, I came across an ornately decorated wooden box hidden deep in the woods. Subsequent analysis at the subterranean laboratories of G.L. Pease revealed its contents to be an ancient and mysterious latakia-rich pipe-weed from Middle Earth times, spiced with a generous measure of leaf closely resembling today's Izmir as well as modern bright and red Virginia tobaccos. After thorough testing, enough of this exotic pipe-weed remained to produce only 125 two-ounce tins.

I picked up a few tins of Night Wraith at the NASPC Show last year and decided to pop one of them recently since I seem to be on a G.L. Pease kick right now (but then, I always am). Sweet and fragrant Izmir leaf prevailed and offered the strength that makes Izmir perhaps the most nicotine laden of all Orientals. The Latakia and supporting Virginia combined with the Orientals to make this one a tasty treat with a sneaky punch. Like Night Wraith, very friendly unless made mad by over aggressive puffing.
