Gawith Hoggarth - Kendal Gold Menthol.
This is one of the least suprising blends I've had. The name alone would suffice as a review! But, I'll do a little:
The pouch has a very strong smell of menthol to it, if you don't like menthol I think it might make you run a mile! The rest of the details on the unlit blend are about the same as all of the K' Gold series: light brown, of a decent moisture, and quite a fine cut.
The smoke? Blimey, it's the strongest menthol taste I've had: it's like a menthol chewing gum (in the U.K. think of the brand Airwaves). As it's so strong with menthol I get a very cold sensation on my tongue; like licking a freezer door! The nicotine's as expected from a Kendal Gold: about mild.
I can summarise this blend easily: a menthol smoker would love it, but someone who enjoys some tradition in their pipe would be disgusted.
I like tradition, so one star!
Not recommended.
