Since I started smoking pipe in my country, I depare with a hard unexplained paradox: the world's greatest tobacco exporter have lowest quality tobacco for own internal market!
That is the ugly truth. For many brazilians, the smoking tobacco experience is not so good, because the quality of national brands is very poor. I suspect witch the most expensive and skillifull leafs should be send to Europe and US markets.
Because that, was a great notice this particular new brazilian brand. A good tobacco for a needy piper. Do not is a strait Virginia like Samuel Gawith's Full Virginia Flake or Dunhill's Navy Flake, but is what we have.
Searching a honest and cheap Virginia Flake? Try this one.

The cut, as noted, is a shag, after all this is made for RYO. So it likes to burn fast and hot, althoughI didn´t have any issue like tongue bite or such.
I loaded it very tight in the bowl, and it burned dry and clean straight to the end, leaving only a compact and beatiful ash.
The main issue here is the lack of any kind of personality, despite the quality of the leaf.
It leaves a very mild and pleasant after taste.
