Gawith Hoggarth - Kendal Mixed Shag Menthol.
Now, I reviewed G.H. Kendal GOLD Menthol a short while back and I almost despised it. This one, aside from the addition of Burley, is virtually the same.
Regarding the mix, it's the same as Kendal Gold Menthol initially: a fine shag, decent moisture, and light brown. Oh, and it stinks of menthol.
Onto the smoking quality: in all fairness the Burley adds a slight depth to the flavour profile, but this is pointless to me, the menthol just obliterates the Burley having any chance to gain appreciation: it's too strong by a mile.
Also, the smoke seems way too cold, but at least it bites none; not that a numb tongue would feel a bite!
I'm glad I smoked this at the beginning of the day; I've got lots of time to rid my palate of it..... I need a rich Balkan LOL!
One star.
