McGahey - Gidleigh Honey.
The pouch note is very sweet, there's nothing more to say about that! The mix looks heavier with brown Cavendish in comparison to any of the black, it's actually a lot heavier, there's only a few black specks in the pouch. As it's a little too moist some airing is a good idea, it won't need ages, it just needs an hour or so to let a bowls worth dry as it's only slightly moist as opposed to 'wet'. The ready rubbing process has made a blend that's of a perfect texture to fill and light as soon as the small amount of moisture has abated. So, on to the quality:
The honey comes through quite good but my only issue with it is I can't be too sure if it's from honey, glucose, sugar or maple. It's sweet but a little nondescript. On the plus side it isn't as thick tasting as I expected; it has sweetness but it doesn't swamp the palate with goo.
This burns at a rapid speed; once lit it's down to a white ash very quick!
I found their Widecombe Mixture to be of an exemplary quality but this has a few issues I don't get along with.
