The tangy, ripe dark fruity red Virginia is a little more obvious than the citrusy, grassy golden Virginia. They form the base of the blend. The lightly smoky, woody sweet and floral Katerini also has a spice note in a support role. The woody, nutty, dry and spicy dark fired Kentucky is a condiment. The brown sugary black cavendish is barely noticeable. The toppings include ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, chocolate, and dash of sweet dark rum. They do sublimate the tobaccos a bit, though they don’t drown them out. The strength level is just past mild while the taste level is a little closer to medium than it is to mild. Has a very mild nic-hit. No chance of bite or harshness. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a mostly consistent flavor that sports a little gentleness amidst the potency. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant spicy, sweet after taste that lingers a mite. Can be an all day smoke.

Good aromatic offering by C&D to get you into the holiday sprit. The tin note is wonderfully X-masy. To me the sweet cavendish base used by C&D aros is of good quality and kind of tastes the same to me. It the extra toppings that create the magic. I just wish they would persist from the top to the bottom of the bowl. Moisture content was good and it lights up right away. Little to no bite to report.

Tin note of chocolate, spices and fruit. Tobacco is reddish-brown, tan and black ribbon cut. Moisture content is ok. Burns normal with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. Flavoring is mild, with notes of ginger, cinnamon, mild chocolate, mild rum. Taste is medium and consistent, with notes of tangy citrus, wood, sweet grass, floral, spice, toasted bread, sweet nuts, a dark fruity background note, and a moderate peppery retro. Virginia is leading with Cavendish and Katerini supporting. Kentucky is back up filling in when needed. Room note is Very Pleasant, and aftertaste is good.
