Sutliff Tobacco Company’s coco crème is a quality American aromatic, that is likely to be enjoyed by those that like coco, or vanilla flavored tobaccos. This blend is currently available in bulk from PipesandCigars.com, and is also sold in their Smooth Operator bulk sampler. The blend has an enticing tin/bag note that to me, smelled like a mixture of hot chocolate and vanilla latte. I would say that the vanilla or crème flavor is definitely the strongest aroma in the pouch. The moisture content of the tobacco is definitely on the damp side, and the tobacco can be a little sticky to the touch due to the casing or topping that has been applied. I would say that this tobacco could use a bit of a dry time before being smoked, or you may wind up relighting every few minutes. The tobacco appears to be of decent quality, and I did not come across any twiggy, woody, or hard bits in the sample that I received. The cut of the tobacco appears to me to be a shag, which makes for relatively easy packing of the pipe. Once the pipe was loaded and lit, the first flavors that I am greeted with are the hints of chocolate and vanilla, but there is definitely a creamy flavor that I can detect, which reminds me of the foam that sits on top of a cappuccino or latte. The flavor is definitely light, but remains consistent down to the bottom of the bowl. As for burn characteristics, I have to say that I spent plenty of time tending to this blend, and I spent plenty of time with the tamper and lighter in my hand, however, don’t let this statement prevent you from enjoying a fine aromatic, as it was worth the work to enjoy the flavors that this dessert tobacco provided. As for room note, I was told by those around me that they smelled a light vanilla aroma while I was smoking, so I consider this blend to be pleasant. Overall, this is a quality aromatic smoke that will likely be enjoyed by those that enjoy light creamy coco and vanilla flavors. Although the tobacco is a bit gloopy or wet, it was still worth the effort to dry the tobacco a bit, and deal with relight after relight to enjoy the blend.

Sutliff Tobacco Co. - Coco Crème #333.

Firstly, the cut isn't a shag as currently stated here, it's coarse cut. It looks about 50/50 black Cavendish to Burley and has a wonderful, aromatic aroma. The moisture of this pouch was faultless upon opening.

Because the moisture's great #333 takes to the flame with extreme ease, and gives a nice flavoured smoke. There's coco, cream, vanilla, atop of an even split of Cavendish and Burley. Aside from the listed flavourings I note a honey/caramel-esc sweetness. The problems with #333 are the mechanics: it can burn fast when 'chugged' and can give me a little bite to the tongue.

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: nice.

Coco Crème#333? Sure, it's quite nice, but not 'special' enough for any higher than two stars:

Somewhat recommended.
