Gauntleys Of Nottingham Kentucky
(2.00)
This dark, powerful tobacco is given its flavour by being slowly cured over open flames. High in nicotine, cool and slow burning.

Gauntleys-Kentucky. Although this is a blending tobacco this review is based on a few neat bowls.
It's not actually that bad when smoked straight. To begin with it's very easy to pack the bowl with as it's quite delicate strands of tobacco and they're not too damp.
There is a slight smokiness to the flavour. Don't expect the kind you associate with Latakia's as it's very subdued in comparison. This flavour doesn't have very much depth to it; it's quite a simple one, almost woody.
I agree with the description on here where it says it's cool and slow burning but I don't think it's exactly 'high' in nicotine. I rate it as being more medium.
The room note hasn't got much character. Although, as this is a blending tobacco I wouldn't expect otherwise!
As I mentioned, this isn't that bad when smoked on its own but it's a little boring for any more than two stars...... two stars straight but four stars as a blending Kentucky.
